Project Spotlight: Streamlining Operations: $2.5MM CTB Consolidation Project in the Delaware Basin

We recently completed a $2.5MM multi-phase project to consolidate the East and West Central Tank Batteries (CTBs) at an existing facility. The goal was to improve production efficiency, streamline gas lift compression systems, reduce long-term maintenance, and reduce methane emissions from a poorly installed tank vent header system and gas pneumatic systems.

The project was executed in three phases. Phase 1 included the installation of new oil and water headers and expansion of the pipe rack system to reroute production flow. Phase 2 involved significant upgrades and reconfiguration work on both CTBs, including updated header piping, tank vent systems, blanket gas installations, and new VRU tie-ins. In Phase 3, we fully decommissioned and demolished the West CTB, safely removing all tanks, vessels, flare systems, and associated piping.

As part of our scope, we delivered a comprehensive, contractor-ready work package that included:

  • A detailed verbal Scope of Work covering every modification

  • All mechanical contractor bid forms and documentation

  • Full demo and new construction drawings

  • A 3D facility model

  • Piping specifications and construction guidelines

Our team managed all procurement activities, oversaw the construction process, and supported facility commissioning to ensure a seamless transition into consolidated operations.
