Maximizing Throughput: Delaware CTB Capacity & Upgrade Study

CUE assessed a Delaware Basin CTB for tie-in feasibility, analyzing capacity, identifying key upgrades, and sizing pipelines. We delivered a full AFE-ready package with cost estimates and scope to support confident decision-making for new developments.

Project Spotlight: Maximizing Throughput: Delaware CTB Capacity & Upgrade Study

To support upcoming developments in the University Lands area of the Delaware Basin, CUE performed a full capacity and debottlenecking analysis of an existing Central Tank Battery (CTB) under consideration for tie-in.

We collaborated with Reservoir Engineers to forecast volumes from five new wells and layered this with current production to evaluate the facility’s future load. After visiting the site to verify all as-built piping and equipment specs, we identified required upgrades across key systems, including:

  • Inlet headers & bulk separation

  • Heat treating & VRTs

  • Oil skimming tanks & oil/water storage

  • Oil LACTs, PD pumps, and sales metering

  • Water Pumps
  • Gas lift & effluent pipelines

  • Flare & vapor recovery systems

  • Tank venting and overpressure protection

Using Pipeflo, we modeled the oil effluent and gas lift pipeline capacities and proposed optimized routing to reduce installed lengths. CUE then delivered a complete AFE-ready proposal, including:

  • Detailed scope of work

  • Upgrade recommendations

  • Engineering and total installed cost estimates

  • Project overview slides in client-specific PowerPoint format for executive and cost control review

Our team ensured our client was equipped with the insights, documentation, and justification needed to move forward with confidence.
