Supported design and modeling for Bell Lake North Gas Compression Plant (84 MMSCFD). Integrated 10 compressors, discharge separator, and Phase 3 expansion. Optimized pressure control, gas routing, and safety systems to enhance reliability and readiness.
Project Spotlight: 15,300 HP Bell Lake North Gas Compression Plant Expansion
We supported the Bell Lake North Gas Compression Plant project, part of a large gas processing facility in the Southeastern U.S., designed to handle 84 MMSCFD of wet gas. The plant includes ten three-stage reciprocating compressor units—eight G3615s and two G3608s—installed in parallel to raise inlet pressure from 80 psig to over 1000 psig. A new discharge separator and trim cooler were added to optimize downstream performance and reduce vapor losses.
Our scope included thorough process modeling updates, including fuel gas routing, the addition of Phase 3 expansion equipment, and integration of updated gas analysis. We reviewed system capacity, pressure control strategies, PSV configurations, and identified key optimization opportunities to improve reliability, safety, and long-term operability. Our recommendations supported the plant’s readiness for integration with future NGL, LNG, or CNG infrastructure.
